Intro.

If you’ve heard of arbitrage marketing, than will understand what this product does when we get into the description. You may have just stumbled across this product because you’ve been searching for a way to make money online. If this is the case, I’d suggest you read this review in full before considering a purchase of this product.

I’ll explain a few things that will trigger whether this type of product is for you or not. Arbitrage marketing isn’t for everyone, and you still need to understand what you’re getting into. You may notice that there are a lot of reviews for this product, the majority being very positive and offering bonuses or upsells. These are affiliates of the product, and only have one thing in mind, getting you to purchase arbiMate.

What they don’t offer is detailed advice of what the product is, how it’s used and any other considerations. I hope to give you all this this information so you can make an informed decision. There are genuine opportunities to make money online, which have stood the test of time. I’m sure you’re interested to know if this is one of them.

What is arbiMate

First off, arbiMate is just a WordPress plugin. If you don’t know what WordPress is, you can read all about setting up a WordPress website here.

So, as a website owner selling goods online, you will be using the arbitrage method. This is when you compare the exact same product from different retailers, and compare the prices. You have the more expensive product advertised, then when someone makes a purchase, you buy and sell them the cheaper product from the cheaper retailer.

Before you have access to arbiMate, you’ll either have plans in place to be an eCommerce seller, or be currently selling products online in this manner. You’ll  be using the arbitrage method of eCommerce, with this Arbimate plugin. With arbiMate, they have two built in retailers that you’ll be utilizing. These are Amazon and Walmart. So Amazon will be your higher priced retailer, and Walmart at the lower end.

How Does arbiMate Work

So when you purchase arbiMate, you’ll upload your arbiMate plugin to your WordPress website. This is where you’ll have access to all the data required to make marketing decisions. The sales video states that “tens of thousands of products are being sold cheaper on Walmart than Amazon”. I’m not exactly sure this is the case, but anyway.

When you have this plugin installed on your WordPress website, you can scour through various products to find matching items. Lists will appear with the relative prices of these products, and the difference in price. You can then decide which of these products you’d like to list on your website.

The plugin does a very good job of finding these products and listing them, as stated on their sales page. The profit margins can be a little deceptive though, because it doesn’t take into account the shipping costs. However, I understand Walmart does have free shipping to many places, so this could work in your favour.

Will You See Results With arbiMate

If you’re already an Amazon seller and understand how to get good results with selling on the platform, then arbiMate can certainly help get you better results. Having a software program to help with some of the heavy lifting can be advantageous, but you’ll still require a bit of manual processing yourself.

When you’ve found a product through the plugin, I’d go to Amazon and Walmart, add the products to cart, and see what the full price is, including shipping. This will give you a true indication of your profit margin.

If you’re new to all this, and you expect to make a few dollars by selling products with large margins between the Amazon and Walmart products, you may have a very hard time. There’s a few reason for this.

Firstly, running an eCommerce business takes a lot of time and effort. More so than and an affiliate marketing business. You will require a WordPress website to install the plugin, so this is the first thing you’ll have to learn. Although WordPress is the most common Website platform in the world, and is easy to master once you’ve got the hang of it, there is still a learning curved involved if you’ve never used it before.

Then you’ll have to learn how to sell on Amazon. This is a bigger learning curve. There are courses on how to do this, I’ve reviewed a few myself. Here’s a couple of courses you may consider that will teach you how to run an Amazon store.

But The Sales Video Says It’s Easy

Of course it does, they all make it out to be easy because they want a sale. In fact I’m unsure why the sale video goes to the lengths of saying, this can be done without a website, without running ads and without any product. Of course you still need these things, the plugin cannot do it alone. 

How are you going to install your arbiMate WordPress plugin without a WordPress website? And how will you get traffic without paid ads? Well you can, it’s called organic traffic that’s generated through search engine optimization. This is another thing you’ll have to learn if you want free traffic.

Now the sales video is very clever mentioning how HARD and EXPENSIVE eCommerce is, then showing the requirements for this type of business, such as finding suppliers, starting a sales site, driving traffic, shipping and returns. Then saying they don’t blame you for not going down this path. But it doesn’t say these things are NOT REQUIRED. It just points out how you can get involved in eCommerce by using this plugin.

Let me tell you, I started an online eCom business and there is a lot involved. Even if you do have this plugin, you’ll still have to deal with returns, customer service, traffic etc. If this is YOUR ecom business, YOU are responsible for the day to day running of the online and offline business.

This is why I changed to the affiliate marketing method. I don’t have to deal with these issues because I just point my visitors in the direction of where they can make a purchase. If they do make a purchase, I make a commission. The company that sells the product deals with all the other issues.

Now, About That Traffic

One thing you’re led to believe, is that traffic will just come to your products when you list them on Amazon. This is not exactly true. Having done courses about how Amazon works, including the two courses listed above, I know there’s more to it than that.

Amazon have their own algorithm to rank how products are listed. There are tips and tricks to getting your products to rank highly, including keywords, and how your “Add to Cart” button is going to get rotated depending on sales through the Amazon fulfilment centre.

Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as slapping a product on Amazon and watch the sales flood in. Like anything in the online world, you need to work at building a platform before seeing any kind of earnings.

Are There Any Other Downsides

I’ll just touch on a few points that you will want to consider. Firstly, there is no program that runs on autopilot and brings in a nice little income. If you ever see these types of claims, they are furphy. While I don’t think the arbiMate sales page makes these exact claims, they do suggest that it’s simple’ and ‘The Easiest e-Com Strategy With 0 Startup & 0 Running Costs’. I don’t believe this claim to be true.

When you sell on Amazon, there is a monthly fee of $39.99 if you plan on selling more than 40 items per month. I’d suggest you won’t be making any money unless you are selling more than 40 items per month, so this fee will be applicable.

Apparently there’s ‘No need to pay for hosting’. Well, if you have a WordPress website, it will have to be on hosted servers somewhere. This is also a fee, generally in the range of $100-200 per year minimum. You will require this for the ArbiMate plugin to be uploaded. True, there are no Amazon hosting fees, but don’t forget the selling fee I mentioned above.

Is There Support or ArbiMate

As this is a legitimate software program, there is support for the program itself. They have support 24/7 Live Chat Support, along with the option to open a support ticket should this be a better option for you.

My Verdict

In my opinion, this is a good product for the existing Amazon seller. If you have no experience in selling on Amazon and are searching for a new opportunity to make money online, this is not the product for you.

The ArbiMate plugin is a legitimate software tool which will work for arbitrage marketing. It would certainly suit those already experimenting with this kind of online business.

Wrapping Up

Although this is a fairly good product for the correct situation, I wouldn’t be recommending it to beginners. That applies to those searching for their first foray into the online world. With so many options of wealth creation online, you need to find the right method that suits your personality and situation.

I know this because I tried eCommerce and found it wasn’t for me. I just didn’t have the time or inclination to deal with customer service, returns, shipping, taxes, invoices etc. While you can get away with not having to deal with inventory by learning the drop shipping method, this can be another thing to deal with if you’re going down the eCommerce path.

In my situation, I chose to learn affiliate marketing because it just allows me to promote and earn commissions.
