It’s all over! You’ve just had a wonderful time with family or friends doing the exact things you love to do. This is the reason you work for a living, to have the ability to enjoy the good times. Now comes the dreaded time to head back to the office. Maybe the factory awaits you, or the work site. It’s back to the tools of the trade to earn more money for the next vacation.
This can be an anxious time for many, as you head back to the workplace to find all your co-workers experiencing the same issues if it’s been a compulsory office closure. If not, your colleagues will be in routine, and you’re the one who needs to fall back into the daily grind.

Have You Thoroughly Unwound
Going back to work is hard enough, but many people don’t fully unwind. It can often take more than the standard 2 weeks leave to release any stress you may have built up.
This is where it can really get you down, returning to work when you’ve only had enough time to minorly destress. So when you return to work, you immediately feel the heat back on. It’s as if you haven’t been away at all and your surroundings haven’t changed.
I can only suggest that if you have enough annual leave stored, take a minimum of 3 weeks to remove any built up anxiety. I understand that sometimes you have a job that only YOU can handle, but we all need a break. There will usually be somebody that can take over your job for the time you’re away, even if they are not familiar with everything.
Even though you’ll still have the ‘back to work blues‘, the extra time taken does clear your head and provide a better back to work experience.
Going Back to The Mundane
Depending on your work type, you will be facing the same old mundane chores and environment. Of course, you’ll also be dealing with the same old faces of your colleagues, whether you like them or not.
This can be an uncomfortable feeling, knowing you’ll likely be collaborating with different people. It’s not always like this though, lots of people enjoy getting back to communicate with work colleagues.
Knowing you’re heading back into an environment you don’t particularly enjoy can give you a knot in your stomach. I used to be like this myself, which is why I decided to learn affiliate marketing, which gave me the new online career I craved. I no longer answer to anyone but myself.
If you do feel anxious about returning to your place of work, you’d be in the 42% of people that dread going back to work after a vacation. We’d like to think that anxiety will go away, and for many it does. However, the stress can extend to greater things because your workload has only gotten larger.
It’s all about work life balance if you ask me. Although I’m no expert on psychology, it could translate to mental health issues, which is when you may want to visit an expert in this area. Then again, you could just be in need of a new career.
Do You Enjoy Your Work Generally
It used to be that if you worked in a job before the year 1990, there was a good chance you stayed in that job for 30, 40 or even 50 years. This is very rarely the case these days, even when people do enjoy their job.
Reasons for moving on could be conditions of employment, more money, flexibility or promotional availability. Whatever the case, we don’t generally stay in the one company for much more than 10-15 years nowadays.
So at least for those that do enjoy their jobs, they can move to another company. For those that don’t get joy out of what they do for a living, they often feel stuck. Do you really want to move to the same type of job that you dislike? Probably not, even if the money is slightly better.
You may feel that you don’t have the skills to do anything else. This could be quite true, and if you begin a course to educate yourself in a different field if work, you may have to cut down hours, meaning less money coming in.
Sometimes though, you need to bite the bullet and find the time to get your life on your terms. If you need to change career, educate yourself after hours. We all have the same amount of hours in the day.

How Online Entrepreneurs Become Successful
We often look at entrepreneurs with amazement. We wonder how they got to where they have, and speculate internally if we could do the same. I always look at it like this though. In my opinion, there’s 2 types of entrepreneurs.
Of course there’s the Richard Branson’s, Warren Buffett’s and Sara Blakely’s of the entrepreneuring world. These people are workaholics that have thrown their life savings at making their businesses the biggest and the best. They are the richest and most successful type of entrepreneur.
But there’s also the little guy of entrepreneurship. Wikipedia’s opening description of entrepreneurship states “Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching and running a new business, which is often initially a small business. The people who create these businesses are called entrepreneurs”.
It goes on to say entrepreneurship has been described as the “capacity and willingness to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with any of its risks to make a profit.”
So, you don’t have to be rich to be an entrepreneur, just run your own business, This could be a sole business, like my blog here. Because it’s mine, I founded it, put my money into it and it makes me a profit, I’m an entrepreneur!
There’s also no reason you can’t be an entrepreneur also. Creating a profitable blog is not really that difficult, and you can learn how to do it in your spare time.
