Intro.
It might seem the obvious way to go as an affiliate marketer, the higher cost offers you promote, the larger commissions you can make. I do agree that it’s possible to make some rather large coin following this strategy, however, there can be some challenges along the way.
I’m going to touch on some of the issues you may face by going down this route, which may give you something to consider. I’m not implying that you should stick to smaller affiliate sales in any way, in fact a blend of recurring and large commissions is ideal in my opinion.
This article is just pointing out some high ticket affiliate system challenges you may face, so you understand before diving in.
What is the ‘Foot in The Door Technique’
If you don’t know what the ‘Foot in the Door Technique’ is, you will after this explanation.
You will certainly have come across this before, everyone has. It’s based around being offered something of interest for a small amount of money. For instance, you may be interested in selling a course that teaches how to sell Amazon products.
They may get your foot in the door by offering a small course which costs only a few dollars, maybe even a free trial.
Once they know you’re interested in the products, you’ll be offered a next tier level of education, and then the next level. The cost will increase incrementally, and before you know it, you could be spending thousands of dollars.
It stands to reason why this is about getting your foot in the door, so they can offer you larger priced products.

The Good From The Bad Products
I’m not suggesting in any way that all offers like this are poor, far from it. There’s loads of good products and services which are outstanding, and can help you in many ways. It’s a matter of determining the good products from the poor ones.
For instance, Search.Find.Buy. is an extremely good course, the best I have seen to learn the art of selling products on Amazon. To get you in the door, they have a free webinar that runs for well over an hour, which gives a great insight of what you will learn.
There are however products that sound great but offer very little. An example would be MOBE, a tiered commission program where you’d be selling higher and higher systems with little value, to earn higher commissions.
If somebody bought into this program, they’d be attempting to sell the same system to others. You’re actually investing large amounts of money into a circular system, with others doing the same. They were actually selling more MOBE memberships.
The FTC shut down MOBE in 2018 due to the fact more members found themselves deeper in debt, rather than earning the thousands of dollars they were promised.
Another one of these systems is called My Traffic Business System, which I also wouldn’t recommend.
There seems to be an MLM aspect to these programs where you recruit people, and they are encouraged to recruit more into the same circular system.
Why Do Many High Ticket Offers Fail
Many of these high ticket offers become limited, as everyone that joins uses the same marketing banners, links etc to promote to the same people. You end up spamming the same offers in an overheated market.
The other thing is that they offer done-for-you systems, which make the program sound so easy. This is far from the truth. Usually you’re offered explainer videos showing how to pitch to potential new customers.
Also, you can only make as much money as what level you’re prepared to purchase yourself. For instance, lets say you buy in at level 1, for $20. You cannot sell level 5 memberships for $1,000 (with a potential commission of $500) unless you have purchased level 5 yourself.
Generally, the owners of these high tickets systems are the ones that benefit the most financially. Buying into a system like this is extremely risky.
The Better High Ticket Offers
I’ve already mentioned the Amazon course that is a very worthwhile high ticket offer, but there’s others that are great to promote. It all depends on the niche that you promote, let me explain.
If you’re like me and you are in the MMO niche, one of the better high ticket affiliate systems that comes to mind is called Legendary Marketer. This is a program designed to teach affiliate marketing, but also show others how it’s done in a quicker format than obtaining organic traffic.
Again, you can sign up to the Legendary Marketer affiliate program and take the 15 Day Challenge. I did this myself and learned so much from this $7 course. Dave Sharpe gives so much value in this 15 Day Challenge, and if you have the knowledge to implement some of his tactics then you can go ahead and implement it.
For those that are a little less experienced, this is where the extra upsells come in. When you promote Legendary Marketer to others, they may take the initial course, but then will be offered the extra education to get further ahead.
This is what good high ticket offers are all about, offering your audience good value. Your audience receives what they require, and you make good commissions.

Final Thoughts
Do I like, or even recommend high ticket affiliate offers? Absolutely I do, but only if they are products or services that are helpful to your target audience. There’s no point promoting a thousand dollar blender to an audience of sports aficionados.
Similarly, you must be careful that you’re not offering scams or low quality products to those people visiting your website.
However, if you can find high quality offers that not only resonate with your audience, but also give them great value that they will be appreciative of, this is ideal.
As an affiliate marketer, your job is to please the people that visit your website. It’s not all about making money, that is a byproduct of giving value to those visitors of your. The money will flow after you have worked on keeping your audience happy.
Like many people, I struggled in my early attempts to make money online. It's really frustrating when you try product after product, searching for that elusive opportunity that is really genuine.
Eventually though, I learned how to achieve success in the online world with my own website. This website was created to show others how to do it. I direct people away from the poor opportunities and advise the good ones.
But the simplest and least complicated is [Learn more...]
