My suggestion would get to join Wealthy Affiliate because you’ll also get a free course to begin affiliate marketing. After the first course, you can choose whether to continue with courses 2-5 for an extra fee.

Step 2

Choose a niche for your new website. This could be a passion or topic that interests you. Remember that you’ll require a topic that you’ll enjoy writing about, because this will be the foundation of your new online business. Don’t worry if you think you’re NOT a great writer, this is something you’ll learn. You’ll also have the option to outsource your writing at a later date.

Step 3

Build your website using Wealthy Affiliate’s free website builder. This is a simple 4 click process. All you need to do is choose a domain name, give your website a title, pick a theme for your site then click the BUILD button. You’ll be given a sub-domain for your website, which can be transferred to a proper domain at any time.

Step 4

Start writing content for your website that will be targeted to your intended audience. For instance, you may have chosen to write about dogs, in particular, King Charles Cavaliers. So write loads of articles about these dog breeds, and learn about keywords as you go. Wealthy Affiliate has a keyword tool that you can use to find great competing keywords that will rank your articles highly in search engines such as Google.

Now it’s time to start signing up to some affiliate programs. Not just any affiliate programs, but companies that sell dog equipment or products that are in your niche. These affiliate programs are free to join, so you can elect to sign up to as many as you like.

Step 6

Once you’ve been approved by these affiliate programs, you’ll be given affiliate links that can be placed on your website. For instance, attach an affiliate link to an image of a dog collar. Add a link to some text. These links will direct your visitors to the merchants website.

Step 7

If a visitor clicks on an affiliate link, they’ll be taken to the site of the merchant. If this visitor follows through with a purchase, you will make a commission. The customer is happy as they’ve bought the product you recommended on your website. The merchant company is happy as they’ve had a sale. You’re also happy as you’ve made a commission from the company.

Step 8

Keep writing great content to get ranked in the search engines. The more articles with affiliate links you have gaining traffic, the larger income you’ll be making.
