AdvoCare Review

Intro.

It’s not uncommon for health and wellbeing companies to incorporate a multilevel marketing aspect to their business model. In fact there are loads of MLM’s out there, using this method of recruitment to help get more customers to the business.

So, is Advocare an MLM company or not. You may have seen various opinions bandied around, but after researching this question, I’ve found that AdvoCare are no longer an MLM company.

So let’s take a look at how you can partner with AdvoCare.

Update: As a brief update to this article, I just wanted to alert you to the current social impacts that affect MLM opportunities. Multilevel marketing consultants primarily work by hosting house parties to present and demonstrate products to potential customers. As social distancing has become apparent, these hosted house parties or events can no longer go ahead.

Instead, companies with MLM opportunities are turning to sales online to keep their consultants active. What's ironic about this, is that they are basically turning it into an affiliate marketing venture. However, consultants will only be allowed to sell the products of the MLM company they are involved with.

So, the choice now is owning a website and only selling one companies products, or own a website and sell any products you like (eg: traditional affiliate marketing). I know what I'd be choosing!

In fact, in most cases, the MLM company will still own the website. I've seen instances where they will give it to you free for 3 months, then you have to pay for it. eg: domain & hosting fees. This will be on top of other MLM fees. This is not the case with genuine affiliate marketing, where YOU own your own website.

What is AdvoCare

AdvoCare is an American dietary supplement company that was founded way back in 1993 by Charles Ragus. AdvoCare sells bodybuilding and dietary supplements, health shakes and other related products.

AdvoCare produces their own products that incorporate up to 30 sweeteners, all approved by the FDA for human consumption. Their products are made in manufacturing laboratories according to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines.

They have also formed the AdvoCare Foundation which focuses on the life-destroying epidemic of childhood obesity, and aims to help all children be happy, healthy and safe.

AdvoCare Is No Longer an MLM Company

Since 1993, AdvoCare has been running a compensation type system, much like an MLM scheme. However, in 2019 the FTC had determined the system to be a pyramid scheme, and therefore banned Advocare from all multi-level marketing.

As a consequence, Advocare has now come to an agreement with the FTC and only runs a single level marketing model. This basically means the compensation structure is a direct sales business model.

AdvoCare still sells the quality health and wellness products that it always has, and you can become part of their team and earn commissions on each sale you make as a distributor. You can join up here.

Is It Still Worth Becoming an AdvoCare Distributor

That depends on what your intentions are. If you just want to make some extra money, I can think of better opportunities out there. However, if you have a passion for sports supplements, bodybuilding and lifestyle & wellness, then this may be right for you.

If you do intend to join AdvoCare, I’d first approve of their products. This is just like partnering with any other company, you want to know that the products you’re selling to friends, family or acquaintances are genuine, and work the way they intend it to.

Obviously there’s a commission system also in place, so be aware of what commission rates you’ll get, for making sales of AdvoCare products.

What Products Are Involved

The AdvoCare products consist of nutritional and dietary supplements designed to replace meals and enhance mental focus. Not exactly sure how the latter is achieved, but that’s their claim anyway.

Having read extensively about the AdvoCare products, there are various opinions. While some agree that the products do have some benefit, others such as Dr. Dan Benardot who works with Olympic athletes says “Supplements are, for most people totally unnecessary, and most people don’t understand how to take them. Most people think that if a little bit of a nutrient is good for you, more must be better, and nothing could be further from the truth.”

What is interesting, is that no definitive studies have ever shown that AdvoCare products are effective. And because all these products are recommended to have with exercise and a healthy diet, it cannot be proven that the supplements are giving you the benefits or the healthier lifestyle.

I don’t want to say this only applies to AdvoCare, because there are multiple supplement and nutritional companies that sell similar products.

Is AdvoCare a Scam or Pyramid Scheme

Not anymore. AdvoCare always claimed they were not a pyramid scheme, although the FTC disagreed. Regardless of whether they were or were not, there’s no doubt now that AdvoCare are NOT a pyramid scheme.

Is There a Better Opportunity

I believe that if you’re intent on selling nutritional products or supplements, or any other health products, why limit yourself to just AdvoCare products. If you work for AdvoCare, this is exactly what you’ll be doing, selling AdvoCare products exclusively.

If you become an affiliate marketer like myself, you can sign up to several health affiliate programs, which gives you the option to sell more than just AdvoCare products. Imagine having the flexibility to sell any products you like on your own website. This just makes a lot more sense to me.

It’s also easier to sell additional products when you have a larger variety to promote. I’m sure you’ve seen it before, buy this product… and here’s others that you may like.

My Verdict

In conclusion, I’ll state that I am not an advocate or affiliate of AdvoCare. This is an informational post only to provide you with the relevant information I found out about AdvoCare.

Do I think AdvoCare is a good opportunity to make money? Not particularly. Yes you can make money, but i believe there are much better options out there for the potential entrepreneur.

Like many people, I struggled in my early attempts to make money online. It's really frustrating when you try product after product, searching for that elusive opportunity that is really genuine.

Eventually though, I learned how to achieve success in the online world with my own website. This website was created to show others how to do it. I direct people away from the poor opportunities and advise the good ones.

But the simplest and least complicated is [Learn more...]
