Elepreneurs MLM Review

In 2017, Elepreneurs seemed to capture people’s attention, and there’s something that just doesn’t sit right with me. Maybe it’s the fact that it seems to be a relaunch of another program, maybe not.

So I decided to discover more about Elepreneurs, and see what they are all about. Is Elepreneurs a scam, or are they a legitimate opportunity to make online wealth? By the time you’re done reading this Elepreneurs review, you’ll have a much better understanding of what Elepreneurs is all about.

Update: As a brief update to this article, I just wanted to alert you to the current social impacts that affect MLM opportunities. Multilevel marketing consultants primarily work by hosting house parties to present and demonstrate products to potential customers. As social distancing has become apparent, these hosted house parties or events can no longer go ahead.

Instead, companies with MLM opportunities are turning to sales online to keep their consultants active. What's ironic about this, is that they are basically turning it into an affiliate marketing venture. However, consultants will only be allowed to sell the products of the MLM company they are involved with.

So, the choice now is owning a website and only selling one companies products, or own a website and sell any products you like (eg: traditional affiliate marketing). I know what I'd be choosing!

In fact, in most cases, the MLM company will still own the website. I've seen instances where they will give it to you free for 3 months, then you have to pay for it. eg: domain & hosting fees. This will be on top of other MLM fees. This is not the case with genuine affiliate marketing, where YOU own your own website.

Elepreneurs Summary

Is Elepreneurs a Scam 500x200Product Name: Elepreneurs

Founder/Owner: Rob Oblon

Price: $49 per year minimum (+ Products & Auto-shipment costs)

Program Summary: In my opinion, while this is not a scam, it’s not a program that I’d recommend joining. The income disclosure statement alone suggests it will be a waste of time and effort.

Would I Recommend It: No

Rating: 37/100

What is Elepreneurs

In short, Elepreneurs is an offshoot of Elevacity, a previous company that was established by Rob Oblon. Rob was the founder of Elevacity which was registered in 2014, and for a period was quite successful. Both Elepreneurs & Elevacity are under the parent company Sharing Services Inc., a diversified holding company located in Texas.

When Elevacity started taking a nose dive in website traffic and revenue, it was relaunched as Elepreneurs.

So what does Elepreneurs offer you? Well, it’s an MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) opportunity that claims they are here to help you with the health, wealth and happiness. Elepreneurs say that YOUR happiness is their aim, and to most that means better health, seeing the world, a sense of purpose and of course, more money.

Elepreneurs wants your happiness

So will Elepreneurs be able to help with all this? I’m not so sure.

I believe this ‘love-in’ sales video is only designed to get you to sign up. Promises of riches usually works to lure people in. Don’t be fooled. The chances of changing your life to achieve all this with Elepreneurs, is next to zero.

How To Get Started With Elepreneurs

It’s possible to begin your own part time or full time business sharing Elepreneurs products, and they say it’s never been easier. The sign-up part may be true, but I’m extremely sceptical about earning a full time income. I’d like to alert you to the income disclaimer that can easily be accessed by clicking the ‘Income Disclosure Statement’ link at the bottom of their website.

Elepreneurs Income Disclosure

It clearly states ‘The average participant in a direct selling business earns between $500-$1000 per year‘. Now in my worldly experience, this is not even a regular part time income. Even at the high end of $1,000 per year, only equates to $19.23 per week.

With that out the way, let’s look at how you can get started with Elepreneurs.

There’s an annual fee to get started, which stands at $49. This yearly fee is compulsory, and you’ll also be required to purchase products via enrollment packs. There’s 3 different packs you can buy, depending on your level of wide-ranging product diversity.

  • Happy – $249
  • Happier – $499
  • Happiest – $999

While these are optional, you really do need to purchase an enrollment pack so you have products to promote.

As an additional fee, you’ll be required to pay whats known as ‘Autoshipment’. This is an extra $40 per month, which is just another $40 you need to make back to enjoy any profits.

Elepreneurs Payment Structure

You’ll find there’s a ‘Payment Recognition’ table which indicates how much you can earn based on your level of volume sold. The table below gives you some idea of how much you need to sell before you can climb the ranks.

Elepreneurs Recognition

Clearly, you can see that a large volume of products need to be sold to have any sustained success using this system. Most people don’t get past the first 2-3 levels in MLM schemes.

Although product sales is going to be important, Elepreneurs also relies heavily on recruitment to their program. The more referrals you can make to help sell products, the more you and Elepreneurs make.

In my opinion, this is where it gets really difficult, because recruiting people is extremely hard. Often this is encouraged through your social media channels such as Facebook or Instagram. It’s also a good way to lose friends if you attempt to recruit them.

Commission Structure

The Elepreneurs MLM commission structure is just as complicated as most other MLM schemes. The detail is not always straightforward, but this diagram may give you some idea of what to expect.

Is Elepreneurs a Scam Commission Volume

As you can see, it takes into account various volume rates, determined by the number of sponsors (your referrals) you recruit. Good luck getting your head around this.

I’ve sourced a video for you from Elepreneurs that you can view. It’s titled ‘Elepreneur Compensation Plan Basics Overview‘.

MLM Success Is Rare

It’s a shame, but you probably need to know this. The majority of MLM schemes make it really difficult for people to make any decent amounts of income. In reality, the most anyone makes is no more than $100-$200 per month. The average is way less than that.

These MLM systems are setup on a ‘level’ basis, designed for those on the top levels to make the majority of all funds earned. Getting to these levels is extremely difficult, and you’ll need to sell a truck load of products and recruit hundreds to make it all the way up there.

Many MLM companies only last for a short period of time, sometimes only 1-2 years. I’d be concerned joining an MLM scheme because they may not always be around.

What Products Are Involved

From what I gather, you’ll be selling products first branded on the Elevacity site. These include health and well-being products, and product packs. Here’s an example of just some of these products.

Hangover Defense Patch ($34.97)
I love the name, not sure it’ll work though. This is a product designed to replace lost nutrients after a big night out.

Elier Serum ($71)
A skin a deep nourishing and regenerating product that combines minerals, vitamins and organic substances

DOSE ($99)
A combination of beverage products, such as coffee, chocolate etc. Together, this creates a nutritional product called DOSE.

Timeless Skin Care ($60)
Need your skin tightened? This product will do just that.

These are just a few examples of wellness, skin care and supplement products that you’ll be selling if you sign up to Elepreneurs. While these do seem like different and interesting products, I’m not exactly sure if they are any better than what you’ll be purchasing in typical stores.

Is Elepreneurs a Scam or Pyramid Scheme

Deciding whether Elepreneurs is a scam or not is debatable. Some say it is, others are not so sure. In my opinion, it’s not a scam, but I certainly wouldn’t be recommending it.

The fact that not many people make money via MLM’s in general, is not going to help with my opinion. The Elepreneurs homepage makes out that this is a great opportunity, and that you can make this your primary career. I’m not convinced about that, in fact, I highly doubt it.

Is Elepreneurs a pyramid scheme? No, Elepreneurs is not a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal in many countries due to the fact that there are no physical products being sold.

Instead, pyramid schemes work on a recruiting basis, and money is circulated within the referral system. You’d also guess right if you were thinking that the top level members in a pyramid scheme would earn over 90% of the income.

Elepreneurs does sell products, so this is a legitimate enterprise. However, just because it’s legal, doesn’t count out the ethics of the system.

Pros & Cons of Elepreneurs

As with all systems, there’s usually some good and bad aspects. Here’s some of the pros and cons of the Elepreneurs MLM system.

  • Products: The products are similar to many others, but that doesn’t mean they are not good. Whether they are worth the money, I’m sot so sure, but these products have been proven to sell in the past.

  • Recruitment: The recruitment methods are slim, which is why you end up turning to friends and family members. Promoting through social media becomes a necessity, and is a good way to lose contact with those close to you.
  • Chance of Success: There’s a slim chance anyone will make much money with Elepreneurs. Their income disclosure admits this fact, and I’d suggest your time is worth more than the effort you’d be putting in.
  • Overall Cost: Along with the $49 annual fee, you’ll be purchasing enrolment packs which become reasonably expensive. Add the monthly auto-shipment fee, and you’ll have to be fairly successful just to make your money back.

Is There a Better Opportunity

By now you’ve hopefully got the message that MLM programs are not going to make you very much money at all. It can be extremely challenging just to make any money back that you’ve outlaid.

I can provide a better opportunity to make money online, as I assume that’s why you’re reading this article. I make money from home writing this blog, and I was taught by the leaders in affiliate marketing. This is a sustainable and long term income solution, and can provide you with more freedom than you ever thought.

I make more money doing this, than I did when I worked as a draftsperson in an engineering firm. I also work much less hours, which has helped with my family life. If this is something you’d like to consider learning, you can read my review of Wealthy Affiliate here.

Oh, and the community of expert affiliate marketers, along with myself, can help you along the way.

My Verdict

MLM schemes are not my thing, and to be honest, I think anyone that entertains MLM schemes are setting themselves up for failure. If you do look at an MLM scheme, I’d urge you to check their income disclosure statements closely. You can usually find them at the bottom of the homepage.

If there is no income disclosure statement, I wouldn’t even consider joining up, as they are probably hiding something, and it could well be a scam.

So, is Elepreneurs a scam? In my opinion, it’s not a scam, but that doesn’t mean I would recommend Elepreneurs as an income source.

I hope this has given you an insight into the Elepreneurs system, and that you’ve got some value out of this article.

Like many people, I struggled in my early attempts to make money online. It's really frustrating when you try product after product, searching for that elusive opportunity that is really genuine.

Eventually though, I learned how to achieve success in the online world with my own website. This website was created to show others how to do it. I direct people away from the poor opportunities and advise the good ones.
