ProBux Review
Intro.
There’s currently lots of people looking for an opportunity to make money online, and it’s only logical. With the current state of the lands, loads of people have lost their jobs and therefore, require extra funds to pay the bills.
But…is ProBux the way to go? PTC sites are an easy sell as the tasks are simple, but there is a question everyone wants answered. Is Probux a Scam or will you really be able to make money with this program.
I will advise you that I have no affiliation with ProBux, and I am not attempting to recruit you. I don’t make money this way, as I don’t believe it pays enough. I’d rather earn larger income commissions from affiliate marketing.
With that out of the way, here’s my ProBux review.
Tired of seeing Scams or endless fraud sites?
ProBux Summary
Product Name: ProBux
Product Type: Paid to Click
Price: Start Free
What is ProBux
ProBux is a ‘paid to click’ website, meaning you will get paid to click on adverts. This is not a new concept, and works for both advertisers and user members. There’s not much information pertaining to who owns ProBux. All we know is that the website was registered in October 2018.
The idea of being a ProBux user is to earn funds by clicking on advertiser’s promotions. Each time you do this, a small amount of money will be placed in your internal ProBux account.
As an advertiser, you get your promotions in front of people that would not normally see your adverts. This is why it works both ways.
This is a service that is available to anyone worldwide with time on their hands to earn some extra money. Is ProBux worth it? That’s up to you to decide what your time is worth.
Is ProBux A Scam?
Let’s deal with the big question from the start hey!
Having researched various sites where people have left comments in regards to ProBux, I can only conclude that ProBux is a scam. I have heard that this is a different site to the original ProBux.com, but even this newer version ProBux.net seems to have poor reviews. You can see that these comments were posted in 2020, after ProBux.net was registered.
Here’s a selection of ProBux reviews from BitMoneyTalk:
Although this is only a small selection, all reviews from this site were uncomplimentary.
TrustPilot doesn’t have as many comments, but again, all suggest ProBux is a scam
Unfortunately I couldn’t find any reviews that were in the positive, which says a lot.
But hey, if you’re still interested in learning the ‘claimed’ earning methods, keep reading.
ProBux Earning Methods
Depending on your individual opinion, some people like the idea of PTC sites, and some despise them. Whatever your thoughts are, here’s how you can ‘apparently’ earn from ProBux PTC.
The predominant method of earning is from clicking on adverts, and watching them for a set period of time. Each advert will have a number of seconds assigned to it, which is the amount of time you will be required to view it (or at least have the advert open to watch, while you check your Instagram feed!).
Above is a selection of the adverts you can choose to watch. At the bottom of each ad is a time that you will have to watch the advert for. Along with this, the amount you will earn for watching the ad.
As you can see, the rewards are not very much, but what would you really expect for just clicking and viewing an advert.
Referral Types
The other method of earning rewards is by referring others to ProBux. Like most programs, they like to reward users for attracting new members.
There are 2 types of referrals within the ProBux programs:
- Direct referrals
- Rented referrals
Direct referrals are those that YOU recruit directly. So, not that I’m involved with ProBux, but if I was and I used my ‘unique link’ to attract you to this program, you would be my direct referral.
Rented referrals on the other hand are where you can pay a fee to host referrals that you didn’t recruit yourself. The caveat being that rented referrals can only be those that have not already been signed up through somebody else.
The majority of people will become ‘Standard’ free members, but they offer different membership types that may encourage you to upgrade with more money. I’d urge you to resist upgrading, after finding out that ProBux seems to be a scam.
The membership types they offer are listed below.
Membership Types
This is where I believe ProBux makes most of its money. You’ll get the impression that more money can be made by paying for an upgrade, but just look at the cost of upgrading.
- Standard – Free
- Golden – $80 per year
- Ultimate $790 per year
In my opinion, the difference in paying for these upgraded memberships is not relative to the additional earnings. Some of the advert exposure comparisons are the same, others are double. This still means you’ll be spending way too long clicking on adverts to earn a decent amount of money.
Earning Potential
Although there’s loads of comments and reviews claiming ProBux don’t pay out, I’d like to point out the earning potential even if they did pay up. The reality is, that you can only earn a few dollars per day if you put all your effort into it.
Let’s take the typical task of clicking on an advert as an example.
As a free ‘Standard’ member, you’ll earn $0.001 for completing a general advert view. Although it may say you only need to watch the advert for 5 seconds, it doesn’t take page loading time into account. The realistic time-frame for this could be anywhere between 25-90 seconds depending on the internet speed you have access to.
For the sake of this example, let’s be conservative, and say it takes you 30 seconds to watch the advert and return to the dashboard. You will need to do this 10 times to make 1c, which is 3 minutes work.
So for a full hour of clicking on ads, you will earn approximately 20 cents.
60 minutes (1 hour) / 3 minutes (1 cent) = 20 cents.
Well I’m not sure about you, but my valuable time is worth a lot more than 20 cents per hour. Even if this was doubled or tripled by signing up to the different membership upgrades, it’s still not very enticing.
Pros:
Well Explained F.A.Q’s
The best part of ProBux in my opinion is the F.A.Q. page. It’s explained in detail how the site is supposed to work, and how you will be apparently rewarded for completing which tasks depending on the member category you belong to.
Cons:
Loads of Poor Reviews
It’s not that I only found a few bad comments, I couldn’t find ANY complementary reviews about ProBux. There’s a few YouTube videos promoting this program, but these are all existing members attempting to get new referrals.
Poor Earning Potential
Even if you were to seriously try to make money from ProBux, the earning potential is so limited that it’s really just a waste of time. Some people have suggested that $20-$30 per day can be achieved through ProBux by using the rented referrals method.
The issue with this, is that you’re relying on your referrals to actually complete tasks. There’s also the fact that you need enough members that have joined directly, so you can get enough rented referrals. None of these issues are guaranteed, or even likely.
Boring Tasks
Are you really interested in clicking on adverts all day! I can tell you now that this is not a sustainable way to make money online. If you’re not bored after one day of clicking on adverts, you certainly will be by the end of the week.
Unknown Owner
As with many PTC sites and Bitcoin faucet sites like FaucetDuck or FaucetCrypto, it’s difficult to find out who owns these programs. I typically only trust programs and products where the owner is upfront and willing to help.
How I Earn Money Online
I learned several years ago that PTC sites were not a sustainable way to make money online. I tried them and quickly came to the conclusion that it was a big waste of time.
My idea of earning money online was to make enough coin that I no longer required a traditional job. I needed to make enough money that would pass my daytime salary. So, PTC was not going to cut it, neither was joining an MLM, using crypto faucets etc.
I did have a few choices that are hugely popular and sustainable. I thought about selling my own branded products through Amazon. I also gave consideration to my own online dropshipping store. Both of these really appealed because they offer large profits, but they also take up a huge amount of time.
The other option I had was affiliate marketing, and for me, this was the ideal solution. I could still make decent sized commissions (large in some cases), but I didn’t have to deal with the day to day sales. By this I mean that as an affiliate marketer who directed potential customers to online stores, I don’t worry about transactions, invoices, inventory, shipping and all the other messy side of the business.
Keep reading below if you’d like to learn how to get started in affiliate marketing.
Like many people, I struggled in my early attempts to make money online. It's really frustrating when you try product after product, searching for that elusive opportunity that is really genuine.
Eventually though, I learned how to achieve success in the online world with my own website. This website was created to show others how to do it. I direct people away from the poor opportunities and advise the good ones.
But the simplest and least complicated is [Learn more...]

Probux is a scam earing system. I have spent over 8 months with a free account. I didn’t upgrade my membership but I clicked daily and after 8 or 9 months I’ve just started earning daily about $1. Then suddenly they removed my account from their database. I am sure they focused on my account that I didn’t invest here and started making daily $1. So they will also delete my account if I invest their desire amount… This website is totally a fraud and scammer…
Thanks for your insights Ismail.
I’m sure this will help others make a decision whether to sign up to ProBux.
