With so many people looking to make a few extra dollars online due to the current pandemic, it makes sense that SwingBux will get a look in at some stage. As you’re here reading this SwingBux review, I suspect you’ve at least heard about it or been sent a link to their website.
This is not uncommon because one of the more common ways to earn money with SwingBux, and many other similar sites, is to refer new members.
So what is SwingBux all about, and is it a scam or legitimate program to earn those extra funds?
I hope to answer these and many other questions you may have regarding SwingBux, to give you a clearer picture of your earning potential. So let’s take a look.
Firstly I’ll disclose that I am not a SwingBux member attempting to sign you up. I’ve created an experimental account for the purpose of this review only. I haven’t used my SwingBux referral link anywhere in this review.
Product Name: SwingBux
Product Type: Get Paid To (GPT)
What is SwingBux
SwingBux is an online resource that offers small amounts of currency in exchange for completing menial tasks. These tasks include:
- Viewing Ads
- Grid Click Game
- Watching YouTube Videos
- Completing Offers
- Referring New members
These tasks can take anywhere from 10 seconds for watching an advert to a few minutes for signing up to external offers.
So let’s take a closer look at the earning methods at SwingBux.
SwingBux Earning Methods
From the ‘Earn Money’ dropdown menu there are 9 different ways to potentially earn money. These are:
- View Ads
- Crack The Vault
- Referral Contest
- Points Contest
You can see these from the SwingBux dashboard image below
Here’s a brief description of each.
Viewing ads through SwingBux is simple enough. You’ll be promoted with a selection of ads in 5 categories:
- Fixed Ads
- Standard Ads
- Daily Ads
- Micro Ads
- Light Swing Ads
In my experience there’s not much difference between these. They take an average of about 10-20 seconds to watch, and will earn you a very small amount of money.
As you can see at the bottom of each advert, there is a monetary value. The fixed ads are $0.0005 and take 10 seconds to view. The Standard ads are $0.005, but takes 20 seconds to view.
The SwingBux SwingGrid is an alternative way to earn by choosing a grid square in an image. It pretty much works the same way as View Ads, because you still have to watch a sponsor’s advertisement for 10 seconds.
After this time, you’ll be notified if you’ve won any money. Apparently you can win up to $5.00, although I’m not sure how often this is offered. Clicks are reset at midnight, but they may not offer $5.00 each day.
However, you can still win $1 or $0.50. Most winners will win $0.005 or $0.0005, but it is possible to win more.
PTSU stands for ‘Paid To Sign Up’ offers. It’s possible to pay for a SwingBux membership which will allow you to earn more for viewing advertisements.
In my view though, this almost defeated the purpose. Sure you can earn more, but you need to earn the amount you pay for membership first, before making any profit. If you’re on SwingBux all day then it may be worth it, but if you’re just here for a couple of hours per day then maybe not.
Crack The Vault
It will cost you $0.10 to try to guess the vault code. You’ll be presented with a 4 digit code to unlock the vault. Guess correctly and you will win the jackpot.
The jackpot is an amount created from 50% of the entry fee. So every time somebody pays $0.10 to enter, $0.05 goes into the jackpot.
The HeadTail game is pretty much as it sounds. Choose whether the head or tail of a flipped coin is correct, and you’ll double your money.
It’s a fairly straightforward game but relies on the computer generated coin flip to win. In my opinion, I’d trust a real flipped coin.
Referral & Points Contest
Each time you view an ad, click on a SwingGrid box, post on the forum or get a direct referral, you’ll earn points. The Points Contest winner is the person who has accumulated the most number of points.
Depending on whether your points have come from referrals determines which contest it goes towards. Obviously referrals points goes towards the referrals Contest.
All points are cashed out as a prize.
Offers4All seems to be display ads over at Offers4All.com. Various amounts can be earned from as little as $0.0001 for watching adverts at this external site.
There’s also banner ads which I suspect will earn the owners of SwingBux a commission if anyone clicks and signs up.
Just be careful that many advertisements are directed to poorly rated programs, and many want you to sign up. If you’re using an antivirus or antimalware software then you should be fine.
Just don’t sign up to subscription services, you may have to pay.
When I reviewed SwingBux there was nothing under the PTCWall label. The page showed nothing at all.
This page may be reserved for future use. I do know of some scam programs that have a ‘TaskWall’ with a dollar value. As an example, there’s CashCrates, Money4Tasks or KashTree. They offer a monetary value for completing specific tasks, or so they say.
Don’t sign up to these above programs, they are scams.
Is SwingBux A Scam?
No, I don’t believe SwingBux to be a scam. Just because they don’t offer very good monetary returns doesn’t mean it’s a scam.
In fact I’ve reviewed several of these PTC sites and SwingBux actually stacks up quite okay.
Many other PTC sites direct visitors to display ads at websites that trigger my Malware software alert. SwingBux doesn’t do this, the adverts are generally fine.
Earning Potential & Payments
So we know the earning potential is not very good at SwingBux, or any other PTC sites for that matter. But realistically, how much money can be made in a day?
Well firstly, there’s a limit in the amount of adverts you can view per day. Once you click on an advert to view, it becomes greyed out until the 24 hour period resets.
Anyway, let’s say you watch 30 adverts in an hour. This allows 2 minutes for advert loading, watching and moving onto the next ad.
Being conservative, 20 of those ads will earn you $0.0005, we’ll say 5 will earn you $0.0025 and another 5 at $0.0001.
This totals $0.023. So just over 2 cents per hour.
I’m not sure about your thoughts on earning this, but this is way too low as an hourly rate for me.
SwingBux Payment Proofs
Yes, SwingBux does payout, unlike some other websites.
Just about all PTC sites like to ask their members to display payment proofs to show others considering signing up. For this reason they have their own online forum.
A dedicated forum thread will be available for members to display their payments.
The payments I’ve seen are not huge, but are there nonetheless.
I did see a couple of payment proofs above $5, which could have taken weeks (or even months) to earn. The majority of payments are between $1.0 – $2.0. Again, knowing how much can be earned per hour, I’d say it would have taken weeks to earn this.
How I Earn Money Online
I believe that my time is worth a lot more than $1-$2 per week, so there’s no way I would be signing up to a PTC site.
I’ve tried different ways to earn money online, but have settled on the model called affiliate marketing. This is where I promote products on my website, and if I initiate a sale, I will earn a commission from the sale.
What I like about this form of online earning, is that some more expensive products can earn large commissions. Let’s say for instance I sold a luxury yacht (this is only an example), they may have a 1% commission rate. So if the yacht was sold for $100k, I’d earn $1,000.
I have never earned this much from one sale, but the potential is there. The most I’ve earned from one sale is $398.80, which you can see below.
I’m sure you can see the potential in affiliate marketing. If you want to learn more about it, you can learn how to start affiliate marketing from scratch here. Or keep reading on below.
Tired of seeing Scams or endless fraud sites?
I hope this SwingBux review has given you enough of an insight to make a decision on whether to sign up or not. The small amounts that can be made with this site may be appropriate for some people, and that’s fine.
I just wanted to make you aware of the earning potential, and show you what’s involved to earn.
If you’ve had any experience with SwingBux, I’d be interested to hear from you in the discussion below.
Like many people, I struggled in my early attempts to make money online. It's really frustrating when you try product after product, searching for that elusive opportunity that is really genuine.
Eventually though, I learned how to achieve success in the online world with my own website. This website was created to show others how to do it. I direct people away from the poor opportunities and advise the good ones.
But the simplest and least complicated is [Learn more...]
