The Ecomm Clubhouse Review

Intro.

I’ve recently discovered a new online course (although previously known asThe Dropship Club) that can teach you how to begin your own online dropshipping store. This is not the first course of it’s kind that I’ve reviewed, but I’m going to stack it up against some others.

This updated course is called The Ecomm Clubhouse and has been created by Sarah Chrisp. Sarah is the face of Wholesale Ted, a YouTube channel dedicated to discussing all topics for ecommerce business owners.

I’ve been lucky enough to have gained access to this course, so by the time you’re done here, you’ll have a good understanding of whether The Ecomm Clubhouse is the course for you.

I’ll also state that I am NOT an affiliate for The Ecomm Clubhouse, so this is an impartial review

So let’s get stuck into this The Ecomm Clubhouse review, and see what it entails.

The Ecomm Clubhouse Summary

Product Name: The Ecomm ClubhouseThe Ecomm Clubhouse Review

Founder/Owner: Sarah Chrisp

Product Type: eCommerce Dropshipping Course

Price: $67 per month

Program Summary:In my opinion, The Ecomm Clubhouse is a very good training course that will teach you all aspects of the eCommerce dropshipping phenomenon. Sarah is easy to listen to, and there’s only a couple of courses I’d recommend over this one.

Would I Recommend It: Yes

Rating: 78/100

What is The Ecomm Clubhouse

E Commerce is a hugely expansive business model for many people, and now there’s loads of courses dedicated to teaching others how to do just that. Add to that the popularity of the dropshipping model, and the opportunity for good tutors is greatly enhanced.

The Ecomm Clubhouse is an eCommerce dropshipping course which is run by New Zealander Sarah Chrisp. I’m an Aussie, so I know the difference …lol.

Sarah does a wonderful job of explaining how all elements of the dropshipping business model come together. I like her style in demonstrating in the video tutorials, and she gets her message across with no fuss.

Is The Ecomm Clubhouse the best eCommerce dropshipping course I’ve reviewed? Well, no, it’s not the best. In saying that, I’ve reviewed 2 extremely good courses that would be hard to beat.

The Ecomm Clubhouse will be running a close third, but in my opinion, eCom Success Academy and eCom Lifestyle University are the best. They’ve also been around a little longer and have updated their information to be currently relevant.

That is no knock on The Ecomm Clubhouse course, because I still think the training is excellent and I would recommend the course if dropshipping is your thing.

The Ecomm Clubhouse From The Inside

Having had the opportunity to access The Ecomm Clubhouse course, I can explain what you’ll receive on the inside. Here’s a brief explanation of each section.

#1 Education Review

The education is laid out in a step by step formula that is easy to follow. As all good courses do, Sarah begins with a welcome video. This is longer than your usual welcome video, and runs for approximately 27 minutes.

Step 1 – Select a Niche

Includes the following phase lessons:

  1. Brainstorm 20 Ideas
  2. Narrowing Down Your Niches
  3. Picking Your Winning Niche
  4. How to Select a Store Name

As the headline suggests, you’ll take some of Sarah’s techniques for choosing several niches, and then narrowing this down to 5. Finally, you’ll be taken through a researching phase in which Facebook Audience Insights will help you decide on your ultimate niche topic.

Finding the correct niche that suits you can be one of the biggest challenges for people starting out. This series of videos will help with making that decision. I also really like the effort Sarah goes to for making sure you get a store name that evokes emotion.

Step 2 – Source & Choose Products To Sell

Includes the following phase lessons:

  1. How To Pick Viral & Top Rated AliExpress Products To Sell
  2. How To Select The Right AliExpress Supplier
  3. How To Research & Spy On Winning Print On Demand Designs
  4. How To Get Custom Designs Created Using Fiverr
  5. How To Get Instant Designs On Shutterstock
  6. How To Price Products

Coming up with a criteria to choose your products to sell is very important, and this is what you’ll learn in this step. Sarah has a 4 part criteria, that is simple to follow. You’re also going to get a brief explanation of how the dropshipping model works, and the pros and cons of this method.

Inside The Ecomm Clubhouse

Most people know that AliExpress is the best place to source products. Finding the better suppliers and manufacturers inside of AliExpress is not as easy, so you’ll learn how to sort the top stores from the poor. After all, you want your customers to have a good buying experience. Again, a 4 part criteria for finding good suppliers is advised.

Other products you’ll want to sell are print on demand items. Sarah will advise her recommended companies to provide the service. As part of this process, you need some design inspiration and you’ll learn some places to find this.

Then of course, you’ll require somebody to complete your design, which is where the video on Fiverr comes in.

Step 3 – Create A Store By Yourself

  1. How To Create A Shopify Account
  2. How To Install The Theme
  3. How To Install Oberlo & Update It’s Settings
  4. How To Install The Chrome Extension
  5. How To Add Products With Oberlo
  6. How To Create A Printify Account
  7. How To Create A Product With Printify
  8. How To Update Product Pages
  9. How To Add Collections
  10. How To Create An About Us Page
  11. How To Create An Contact Us Page
  12. How To Create A Refund Policy Page
  13. How To Set Up Payments
  14. How To Add Menus
  15. How To Create A Logo
  16. How To Customize Theme & Homepage
  17. How To Add Shipping
  18. How To Edit Confirmation Email
  19. How To Add Live Chat
  20. How To Buy A Domain Name
  21. How To Remove Store Password

This is one hell of a step with 21 videos. And that’s because setting up a Shopify store takes a lot of work. I’ve done it myself before I decided on affiliate marketing, so I understand the specifics of setting up this kind of store.

There’s lots of components that need to come together, and you’ll learn all of that in this step. You will notice in the lesson titles that there’s some unusual names like Oberlo and Printify. These are apps that are used to help with your store, and each costs a monthly fee.

Because automation is a big part of running a store, several apps are used and Sarah will recommend her preferred. Oberlo is a brilliant plugin, but the free version is very limited. To follow what Sarah teaches, you’ll need the $29 per month subscription at a minimum.

Shopify has made it extremely easy to create custom products, and apps like Printify are so easy to use.

And as the other video titles suggest, you’ll get a handle on account setup, shipping and other important Shopify automation.

Step 4 – Upselling To Big Orders

  1. How To Add Trust Icons
  2. How To Add Discounted Pricing App To Increase Aov
  3. How To Add Smar7 To Upsell Customers To Big Orders
  4. How To Add Spin-a-sale App To Trigger The Law Of Reciprocity
  5. How To Add After-sale Coupons

I mentioned earlier that some of these apps can add up in price. Step 4 is about adding several apps that can really help massively with your store authority and getting more sales. The first one is free, but the others will cost $19.99 per month, $47 p/m, $9.99 p/m and $20 p/m.

I know these apps sound expensive, especially when starting out. However, they are designed to help your store make money. Sarah also advises that you only install some of these when you are actually making sales.

Step 5 – How To Get Traffic & Buyers To Your Store

  1. How To Create A Facebook Business Account
  2. How To Create A Facebook Fanpage
  3. How To Install The Facebook Pixel
  4. How To Create A Showcase Video Ad
  5. How To Edit A Showcase Video Ad For Facebook
  6. How To Create An Example Video Ad
  7. How To Create A Low Budget Facebook Advertising Campaign
  8. How To Create A 3 Ad-creative Facebook Advertising Campaign
  9. How To Scale Facebook Ads
  10. Seo Introduction Video Get Free Traffic From Google
  11. How To Find Low Competition Keywords For Seo
  12. How To Optimize Product Pages For Seo
  13. How To Optimize Product Category Pages
  14. How To Optimize Your Homepage
  15. How To Add & Optimize Blog Posts
  16. How To Build Backlinks With Instagram Pages

Facebook is the common promoting platform that all eCommerce tutors use. Here, you’ll learn the basics of setting up your Facebook business account, installing your Facebook pixel and other how to create video ads.

What I really linked in Step 5 is the showcase and example videos. A guest speaker called Zak explains the best practices of how to shoot video of your products, even with a smartphone. He’ll give tips on getting the best natural light for your videos, and then how to edit your videos with his recommended video software. (Sorry, I can’t give that away! But it will cost you.)

The second half of this Step focuses on SEO, search engine optimization. I am really glad that Sarah has included this as part of the course because most eCommerce store training does not include this.

She uses Moz to find keywords for her example store. Moz is a great site, but expensive. I don’t blame Sarah for suggesting to use the free trial, and then remove yourself from future payments of $99 per month

Step 6 – How To Run & Manage Your Store

  1. How To Fulfill Orders With Oberlo
  2. How To Fulfill Orders With Printify
  3. Daily Store Management & Growth!

The earlier lessons show how to choose your products to sell, but here you’ll learn how to fulfill orders directly through Oberlo and AliExpress. Oberlo syncs with AliExpress, making fulfillment easier. In a similar manner, you’ll see how to fulfill orders through the Printify app.

#2 Tools Review

As this is purely a training program, there are no tools included. However, there are tools recommended such as Shopify apps and the Moz keyword tool. As Sarah declares, she’s an affiliate for Shopify and any external tools, so there is no problem there.

#3 Support Review

It’s highlighted that if you have any questions that are not technically related, they will not be able to give you an answer. The provided email thedropshipclub@gmail.com is for technical difficulties only.

One-on-one support is not included in the membership. But they host monthly Q & A Clubhouse sessions which you can access via a link.

They also suggest 24/7 Shopify chat support.

I do find that if you’re signing up to a $67 per month membership, that issues like this should be addressed. I’m sure there will be successful members within the program, so maybe they could answer questions from newbies.

#4 The Cost

Other eCommerce training programs that I’ve reviewed are one off payments, so they cost more initially. I’m of the belief that because there is so much to learn in this business, you’ll probably stay a member of The Ecomm Clubhouse for at least several months.

I do believe the cost is very reasonable, as 6 months is a decent amount of time to see if this will work for you. If not, you can cancel payments at any time.

The Best of The Ecomm Clubhouse

#1 Knowledge

Sarah (and no doubt her team) are very knowledgeable in the eCommerce space. She knows what she is talking about and covers a broad range of topics. It’s obvious through the Wholesale Ted YouTube channel that Sarah has loads of experience.

#2 Honesty

I’ve seen some dodgy eCom courses before, The Ecomm Clubhouse is NOT one of them. I appreciate Sarah’s honesty in telling members realistic expectations. That this is not a get rich quick activity, and will take time to begin to make sales.

She also advises to purchase particular apps once you can afford them, once sales are forthcoming.

#3 No Fluff in This Course

The course is full of insightful information to become an eCom store owner. I like that some of the videos have been cut, which excludes any pauses or ‘ums’ or ‘ahs’.

Sarah doesn’t waffle or drag out the information, instead presenting the information in an easy to digest manner.

#4 Know What You’re Getting

I also like that the sales page for The Ecomm Clubhouse describes what you’re getting on the inside. All good courses should give you this kind of description, and if they don’t, I’d be suspicious.

You’ll know exactly what you’re getting inside of this course, and will not be disappointed.

#4 SEO Knowledge

Most of the other eCommerce courses I’ve reviewed don’t include SEO optimization. This has always baffled me, as ranking in Google is always going to be beneficial to get the best form of website traffic, free!

I was really happy to see Sarah give training on SEO, because I believe long term, it’s a brilliant way to get more traffic and more buyers.

What Puts Me Off The Ecomm Clubhouse

As with anything though, there’s often a flaw.

#1 Lack of Customer Support and Store Management Training

I did find the single video on store management was not enough. I believe that customer support is an important part that requires extensive training. How do you deal with disgruntled customers, how do you organize returned items and refunds etc.

I understand some of this is touched on when adding the refund policy page, but examples of the refund process to AliExpress would be advantageous.

Would I Recommend The Ecomm Clubhouse

Yes, I would recommend The Ecomm Clubhouse course to my readers. This is a well informed and presented eCommerce course from a very competent lady.

I’d have no hesitation in recommending this course if dropshipping is the right model of income generation for you.

Is There a Better Option

In my opinion, this course would run a close third to my 2 favourite eCommerce courses. You can read my reviews on eCom Success Academy by Adrian Morrison, or eCom Lifestyle University by Ricky Hayes.

These courses are in my opinion, the best out there.

Is Dropshipping Right For You

I’d like to give you some perspective on running your own eCommerce store. If you think this is going to be easy, think again. If you think you can start off cheaply, think again.

Don’t get me wrong here, I really like the eCommerce model of making money online. I’ve recommended it on my website loads of times. However, it’s not for everyone.

There are more costs involved in eCommerce than say, affiliate marketing. This is because every tool or app you use has a monthly fee, and they can add up to $100-$200 per month. Add to this the Shopify cost and the paid advertising, and you need to be making your money back pretty quickly.

If you’ve got a set amount of funds (like $1,000) put aside to setup a store, you will be better placed to give this a good shot.

The other thing with eCommerce store ownership is that once sales are coming in, you need to fulfill your orders asap. The same goes for customer service and returns, you need to be on your toes quickly to resolve any issues.

I tried it myself in 2017, but found it just wasn’t for me. I chose the affiliate marketing route instead. So, I send people to other stores and make commissions, rather than being the actual store owner.

This way I don’t deal with invoices, taxes, customer service, refunds or other day to day online store issues. The company I send my visitors to does all that.

It comes down to a balance. I earn less from each sales I make but the lifestyle suits me better. Others will prefer the larger profits, but deal with all the day to day running of the store.

Either way, an online career is better than working for an employer and lining their pockets!

Like many people, I struggled in my early attempts to make money online. It's really frustrating when you try product after product, searching for that elusive opportunity that is really genuine.

Eventually though, I learned how to achieve success in the online world with my own website. This website was created to show others how to do it. I direct people away from the poor opportunities and advise the good ones.

But the simplest and least complicated is [Learn more...]
