Dollar Brite Review

Intro.

Dollar Brite is a program that has been promoted via social media sites, and claims to help you get started earning money online. But is Dollar Brite a scam, or is it the genuine opportunity it claims to be.

I’m sure you may have questions that require answering, and I’ll do my best to explain what Dollar Brite is about. Many programs claim to help you to start earning money, and it can be difficult to determine the legit ones.

I’ll declare that I am not associated with this website, and this Dollar Brite review is totally impartial and unbiased. So let’s take a look.

Dollar Brite Summary

What is Dollar BriteProduct Name: Dollar Brite

Founder/Owner: Unknown

Product Type: Affiliate Redirect

What is Dollar Brite

Essentially, Dollar Brite is a simple 3 page website that takes you to an external website via an affiliate link. You will notice when you arrive on the Dollar Brite homepage, you’ll see a video behind their logo with the claim ‘Get Started Making Money Online!’.

Two options will be presented to you.

  • Yes! I live in the United States
  • No. I live in a different country

These buttons are cloaked affiliate links that will take you to a website called LifePoints.

Dollar Brite Buttons

The second page on the Dollar Brite website is the ‘About Us’ page. This is an extremely small explanation about what this site claims to do. They say that ‘DollarBrite partners with only the best networks in the industry’, and no matter where you are in the world, they can find a spot for you.

So what does this mean? It basically means that LifePoints is open to anyone globally that wants to earn money from their site.

How Does Dollar Brite Work

The only thing that Dollar Brite does, is earn commissions for the owner of the program, and this owner is not disclosed. By clicking on either of the homepage buttons, you’re being sent to LifePoints via affiliate links, which is how the owner makes money.

So the owner of Dollar Brite has signed up to the LifePoints referral program. They have been given a unique affiliate link which identifies the owner. When this link is clicked on via the homepage buttons, LifePoints automatically knows where a new visitor came from (the Dollar Brite website).

If the visitor signs up to LifePoints, the owner of Dollar Brite will earn commissions for the activities that this new member completes.

This is what’s known as affiliate marketing, and it’s a great way to earn money online. However, there’s ethical and unethical ways to go about affiliate marketing.

Is Dollar Brite Ethical

This is debatable. In my opinion, affiliate marketing is about earning commissions through programs where you’ve helped someone with what they’ve been searching for. For instance, I review programs and products on this website. Some good, some poor.

If I recommend a program, I may attach an affiliate link to make a commission myself, for helping that person out. Many other programs I do not add an affiliate link.

So where does that leave Dollar Brite?

I believe that this website is not really helping people earn money online. Firstly, they don’t explain how anyone is going to make money online. And secondly, there is no explanation of the workings of the LifePoints program, or that you’re even going to be sent there.

It’s basically like me creating a website with a book cover on the homepage, linking it to the same book on Amazon. Here, buy the book and I’ll make a commission. This doesn’t really help you in any way does it?

So, What is LifePoints

So I suppose the other question is, what is LifePoints. LifePoints is a program that allows you to earn points based on the surveys you fill out. That’s right, Dollar Brite is sending you to a survey filling program so they can make money from the surveys you fill out.

When you complete surveys at LifePoints, you’ll have an allocated number of points that will accumulate over time. When you reach certain limits, you can exchange these points for various rewards.

As you can gather, no special skills are required to fill out surveys, so it’s an easy opportunity for anyone to earn.

Once you have enough points accumulated, you can either be rewarded with gift cards, or you can cashout via a PayPal account. Only when you get to 5550 points will you have the ability to cash out to exchange for rewards.

Another way to earn points is to refer others, which is exactly what Dollar Brite is doing. They are using their referral link to have you join LifePoints.

How Easy Is It To Make Money

While the concept of filling out surveys is very easy, it becomes very laborious and tedious. Depending on how long the survey’s take to complete, this will determine the amount of points you’ll receive.

In all honesty, filling out surveys is not my idea of earning a decent income. In general, survey sites won’t pay more than about $2-$3 per hour. The best survey site I’ve come across is Pinecone Research which pays about $3 per survey, but you’ll have to be invited to join their program.

I know that my time is worth a lot more than a few dollars per hour, which is why I find legitimate affiliate marketing a much better way to generate a consistent income.

This is also where I see the Dollar Brite website is misleading, because they say you can become your own boss, make your own hours and be rewarded for your hard work.

Earn Money from Home With Dollar Brite

While this is more or less true, you’d hardly call earning $10-$12 per day (for a full days work) a business where you’ll be your own boss. Surveys bring in pocket change, and can be a big waste of precious time.

Misleading Statements

I’ve stated above that the ‘earning from home as your own boss’ is a misleading statement, but there’s also a couple of other things I’d like to point out.

Dollar Brite suggests that they partner with only the best networks in the industry. This is extremely misleading, or just plain wrong. They deal with one company in the industry, which is LifePoints.

The other suggestion is that they’ve been featured on Yahoo Finance, Entrepreneur, MSN Money & MoneyFish.

Dollar Brite Featured On These Programs

I can just about guarantee that these companies have had nothing to do with Dollar Brite, and never will. I can only assume that LifePoints are associated with these brands and other networks in the industry. Which is totally different to suggesting Dollar Brite has these contacts.

Another thing I’d like to make you aware of, is something on their About page. They say ‘Review Us On’, and then show social logos where you can review their site. However, as I write this review, the logo’s (which are supposed to be links to their social pages) don’t link to anywhere. They just link back to the Dollar Brite homepage.

I’d strongly urge you to take the time to find out what to look for in a program so you don’t get scammed. There’s often red-flags that will give you an indication of just how authentic the program is, or isn’t.

Final Thoughts

In my opinion, Dollar Brite is nothing more than a poor attempt at gaining referrals to LifePoints. By signing up to LifePoints through their affiliate link, the owner of Dollar Brite will earn from your efforts without even helping you out.

In all honesty, I don’t believe LifePoints is going to be your ticket to financial freedom anyway. The earning potential is poor and the best you’ll earn is pocket change.

I’ve been there and done that before, I’ve done the survey filling and it wasn’t fun. It was boring, tedious and wasn’t worth the effort I was putting in. Most of all, I knew it wasn’t going to earn me money in the future.

I wanted a sustainable model of income that I could draw on for years into the future. Hence the reason I became an affiliate marketer. Sure, it takes a little while to build a foundation on which to build, but once it takes off, the earning potential is limitless. There’s no secret to making money online, it just takes some effort and motivation.

To get a better idea of how this model works, here’s how you can learn to start an affiliate marketing website from scratch.

Like many people, I struggled in my early attempts to make money online. It's really frustrating when you try product after product, searching for that elusive opportunity that is really genuine.

Eventually though, I learned how to achieve success in the online world with my own website. This website was created to show others how to do it. I direct people away from the poor opportunities and advise the good ones.

But the simplest and least complicated is [Learn more...]
