What is DollarTod

The first thing that I noticed when I checked out DollarTod.com, was the alleged image of Todd. I was sure this didn’t just look like a genuine photo, it looked more like a staged stock image photo.

My suspicion was proved correct after checking out the photo with a reverse image search online. As you can see below, this image was found 604 times over the internet.

Fake Image of Todd

The image was also found on 2 stock images websites, which is where you can purchase the photo to use yourself. Although it is found twice on stock images sites, it was found twice at freepik.com.

In regards to what DollarTod is, it’s basically a small 2-3 page website that’s set up as a referral redirect. Whoever is behind this site (I suspect it’s not somebody called Todd), is just directing others to a program called Passive Profit Pages.

So the real question is, what is Passive Profit Pages? Well, it just so happens I’ve already reviewed this program which you can read here.

I’ll give a brief description below.

How Does DollarTod Work

As we know, DollarTod will only send you to another site called Passive Profit Pages, which apparently is going to show you how to make money online. So how does this work?

Passive Profit Pages is a program that costs $9 to begin with. They will give you several templates for a one page website. You’ll be given some poor quality training on how to add affiliate links to this website.

Affiliate links will allow you to make commissions from the stores that provide these affiliate links.

So Where’s The Problem

As I’ve said, the training is poor quality. This is deliberate so that you feel obligated to purchase more expensive training. They have what’s known as ‘upsells’, which are additional products and training that cost a lot more than the initial $9.

Also, the one page websites that are offered to you are just that, simple one page websites. You will not own these sites, they will be subdomains that Passive Profit Pages will host.

The main problem with all these websites is the lack of website traffic they will acquire. Google doesn’t like duplicate content, yet hundreds of people are purchasing the same single page sites. This means they will never rank in the search engines.

The other possibility to gain traffic is by paying for adverts. This could be Google or Facebook ads. The other way that traffic is paid for is called ‘solo ads’. This is where you pay people to use their email list. You can blast out an email to a large list with the hope of getting traffic to your webpage. A popular website where you can do this is Udimi.

This doesn’t even mean getting sales, so you could lose a lot of money. It just gives the OPPORTUNITY to make sales. Either way, paid adverts are not for newbies. They can work really well, but you need training and there’s definitely a learning curve involved.

Red Flags

Several factors concern me about DollarTod.com, which suggests not all is right with this alleged opportunity.

Fake Profile

I’ve discussed this already, the image that had been used as the alleged profile of Todd. This is a stock image that has been leveraged to make the site seem more authentic.

You need to understand that this image is not Todd, the guy in the image is a model.

Social Channels

I noticed at the base of the DollarTod.com website, are links to the associated social channels. You will see a link for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, which you can check out for yourself.

However, these channels don’t have any credibility. Firstly, the DollarTod Twitter account has been suspended. This usually means the account has had illegal activity.

DollarTod Twiter Suspended

The DollarTod Facebook and Instagram pages have minimal activity on them, with only 2-3 posts on each. This is not the sign of a successful money making opportunity.

Also seems extremely odd that both Facebook and Instagram have exactly 64 followers. Almost as if the followers have been bought.

Registry Date

Todd says he has 13+ years experience in the money making online field. Who am I to doubt this, as I have no idea who is behind this. Maybe his name really is Todd.

I get the impression that DollarTod has been around for a while though, but having checked when the domain was set up, it seems this site is only a few months old as I write this DollarTod review.

DollarTod Registry Date

This review is being published in December 2020, and the domain has only been active since August 2020. I understand that websites have to be registered at some point, but I’d be waiting until the site has established some credibility over several years.

Is DollarTod a Scam

This depends on what you consider a scam. Affiliate marketing comes in different forms. I’m an affiliate marketer myself, and I promote programs that can help people get ahead. I wouldn’t promote a course or platform that I thought was not worth the money, as it would ruin my reputation as a marketer.

However, not everyone is like this. There’s many affiliate marketers that just offer the next offer that comes along, whether it be good or bad.

The owner of DollardTod.com is promoting Passive Profit Pages, and will earn a commission when somebody signs up. The problem is that Passive Profit Pages is a low quality product that could cost you a lot of money with little chance of ever earning any money in return.

If you ask me, I’m of the opinion that you will be getting scammed with DollarTod.

Better Opportunities Out There

Of course there are better opportunities to make money online, but there’s one hurdle that most people can’t seem to get past. This issue is that they need to earn money rather than expect it to come easy.

So many people just think they can set something up online within a week and the money will start rolling in. It just doesn’t work that way. Maybe it used to 20 years ago, but since the year 2000, it’s much less likely.

That’s not to say you can’t make money online, and the best way this can be achieved in my opinion is via affiliate marketing.

I learned how to do this from Wealthy Affiliate, a brilliant platform that teaches the art of affiliate marketing. You can read my Wealthy Affiliate review here.

Final Thoughts

In my opinion, you’d be best off giving DollarTod a miss. This is not a program that will give you any chance of earning decent money online, if any at all.

I hope this DollarTod review has given you the insights you need to make a decision.

Like many people, I struggled in my early attempts to make money online. It's really frustrating when you try product after product, searching for that elusive opportunity that is really genuine.

Eventually though, I learned how to achieve success in the online world with my own website. This website was created to show others how to do it. I direct people away from the poor opportunities and advise the good ones.

But the simplest and least complicated is [Learn more...]
