MMO stands for Make Money Online, so when you hear people talk about an MMO site, it means a website dedicated to making money online. Although there are professional financial organizations, when talking about MMO, we’re generally referring to a blog such as this site.

Bloggers know that the MMO niche can be very lucrative, which is why it’s so competitive. This niche can offer you great rewards for helping people decide which opportunities are best to make money online.

Unfortunately, there are lots of low quality products and scams out there which are designed to earn the creators money, I don’t consider these in the MMO niche. However, they do give good fodder for people like myself to review their products, and then advise much better alternatives.

What is a Niche

Basically, a niche is a topic of choice. A subject that you choose to explore via a website or other media. When choosing a niche for a website, it’s important to understand why you are choosing this topic.

Are you deciding on a niche because you think it will help you make more money, or because you have a passion for the subject. For instance, many people have a passion for sports and fitness, so this may be your desired niche.

What I’d urge you to do if this is the case, is to narrow your focus on the niche you choose. The reason for this is so that search engines such as Google can figure out what your website is about in a more targeted way.

When Google knows this, it ranks posts accordingly depending on what it knows about your website. If you begin writing about health, then start writing about fitness, then different sports and keeping healthy for those sports, then search engines don’t know exactly what your website is focused on. It’s too broad and sporadic.

By focusing on a narrowed down niche such as ‘disabled water sports’, then once you’ve written 20 articles about this topic, Google understands exactly what you’re writing about. It will then reward you with higher rankings.

So, choose a niche that you think there is enough to write about for a long time, and enough affiliate products that can earn you decent commissions.

How Much Can you Earn With in MMO Niche

This depends on the forms of income generation that you use. Affiliate income is my main source of income, but you can also use advertising methods on your website.

There are some advertising platforms you can sign up to, which will pay you very well when your website begins getting loads of traffic.

Website traffic is the major challenge for most bloggers, and getting traction in the MMO niche will be more difficult than other niches.

If you have your own product that can help out those searching for a way to make money online, this can be very profitable. You will get lots of people researching your product so they can review it, so it would want to be a good product.

The easiest way to monetize your MMO niche blog is to use affiliate marketing. While this is commission based, some will pay very high commissions. For instance, I promote some really good courses in either affiliate marketing, eCommerce or Amazon sales. One of the courses I promote costs $995, and the commission rate to affiliates is 40%. Not bad hey. And yes, I have made sales of this course.

So, it all depends on the types of offers you promote, the commissions rates and volume of sales you can make. The MMO niche can be very good, which is why it’s so popular and difficult to get a foothold in.

Other niches are easier to rank for in search engines, but the big ones, MMO, weight loss, romance/dating, health and fitness, are more difficult. As I’ve stated, this is due to high competition.

​The MMO niche is highly competitive, but also very lucrative. If this is what you intend writing about, you really need to keep in mind that you could be working for over a year before making any substantial money, maybe even longer.

I’d still encourage you to do this if that’s what you have in mind. After all, you may still have 30-40 years left until retirement, so what’s 1-2 years hard work after hours. This will be setting you up for a wonderful income for many years to come. The issue is staying motivated for long enough.

I hope I’ve given you some food for thought. Many ‘gurus’ out there would rather tell you what you want to hear, that you’ll be making money within a month or two by selling their own products or courses. This just isn’t the case. There is no magic button or quick system that will instantly earn you money.

These guru’s work on your emotions, using instant gratification to lure you in. Then you realize the products just aren’t what was advertised.

I’ll be honest with you. You need to work hard at becoming a successful marketer in any niche, more so in the MMO niche. Having said that, I did it at 50 years of age after starting with no experience, so there’s no reason why you can’t.
